The Story Behind This Site
I was away from scale modeling for more than 40 years — until an airshow with my grandfather peaked my interest again in the planes and their history. He flew 32 combat missions over Europe as a B-17 waist gunner, and standing on that tarmac listening to his stories got me excited about modelling again. Still, life happened and it took me nearly 18 years before I would start building again. This site is part history, part modeling, and part personal journey — built to honor the men who flew the missions and to help fellow builders find their way back to the hobby.
