Revell 1/32 P-51D Mustang

About the P-51 Mustang
The P-51D Mustang is arguably the most celebrated fighter aircraft of World War II, and for good reason. Born from a remarkably fast development program in 1940, the Mustang went through several iterations before the D-model emerged. It was sleek, powerful, and fitted with the iconic bubble canopy that gave pilots an almost unobstructed view of the sky around them.
But what truly made the P-51D a war-winner was its range. Fitted with drop tanks, it could escort heavy bombers all the way from England deep into Germany and back which was something that no Allied fighter had been able to do before.
When the Mustangs started showing up over Berlin, it changed the entire air war over Europe. Luftwaffe pilots who had previously mauled unescorted bomber formations suddenly found themselves outmatched by a fast, agile American fighter that could go anywhere the bombers could go.
This Revell 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang kit is a serious kit for modelers who want to dig into one of aviation's greatest icons.
At 1/32, this is a big, impressive kit. It draws the kind of attention on the shelf and has the details that smaller scales simply can't deliver.
You've got options for markings, a nicely detailed cockpit to bring to life, and the satisfying challenge of getting that gorgeous natural metal finish just right.
This is in my build queue currently and I look forward to sharing the results soon!

Additional Information and Details
I purchased my kit from Amazon.
Here is an image of the kit contents and some initial thoughts I have about the kit (pre-build):
The primary thing I like about this kit, is that upon a quick review of the instructions, they seem to be so much better than the smaller Tamiya version of this aircraft. But then again, it also is a more advanced kit compared to the Tamiya's basic P-51 kit.
So far, I am happy with what I got and the proce was very reasonable for a model this detailed.
Stay tuned for my build logs
